GoCardless

NEW THIS YEAR!
GoCardless allows payment to be made directly from your bank account. You wil be notified by email 3 days before your account is debited.

GoCardless accesses the Direct Debit network through its sponsor, the Royal Bank of Scotland and is registered as a small Payments Institution with the Financial Services Authority. Payments are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
When you click on Enter Payment in WebCollect, you will be taken to the GoCardless site to set up a Direct Debit authorisation. You will be asked to provide your:
·         name and email address
·         bank details: Account holder name, sort code and account number
·         address
(If the your bank account requires 2 signatories, you should complete the online form as usual to set up the payment, and then download the PDF paper mandate from the link at the bottom of the payment pages and post it to GoCardless.)
You will then be redirected back to WebCollect and taken to the checkout success page.

Please note that payment by direct debit is not instant - first time or one-off payments may take up to 10 days, subsequent payments up to 3 days. Your e-tickets will not be issued until WebCollect receives confirmation from GoCardless that the payment has been received. However entries will be accepted in the fortnight before Regatta as soon as your GoCardless payment has been submitted.

Troubleshooting online entries and payment

If you tried to pay with PayPal but got sent back to WebCollect’s home page, it may be that your cookie/privacy/security settings are too restrictive, and are not allowing WebCollect and PayPal to communicate with each other. You could try amending your settings, or try on a different device, or you could opt to pay by cheque and send that in the post.

If you are using a phone and the small screen size is a problem, you could try going direct to https://webcollect.org.uk/dartmouthsailingweek so that the entry system is not embedded within our site.

If you selected your ticket type (days, boat length etc) and clicked "Add to basket", but then found that the ticket type selection was cleared, apparently sending you back to the beginning, it may be that the small screen size prevented you from seeing the "Added to basket" pop-up.  Click on "My basket", and you may find that your entry is in fact there, and ready to proceed to Checkout.
